We have three new archival releases out now in our download-only series: "Live in Leningrad" by Jungle, "15. joulukuuta 1981" by Swissair, and "Studio Recordings Vol. 1" by F.R.U.I.T.S., which is a re-release from 2000.

Elsewhere on the net Anton Nikkilä has contributed a track entitled "Lasijauholaivakeikka Revisited" on the free download-only compilation "Fifteen Sounds of the War on the Poor, Vol. 1" released in November by the Los Angeles-based Public Record and featuring Ultra-red, Terre Thaemlitz, Alejandra and Aeron, Christopher DeLaurenti, and more.

In September Alexei Borisov & Anton Nikkilä had a track called "Pink Bread" released on the download-only compilation "Sound Canvas 1" made available for free by Moscow's Mikroton label and featuring Alva Noto, Frank Bretschneider, Lawrence English and many others.

We have a few new items in our CD shop:

The compilation CD "Un/Typical" (featuring Alexei Borisov & Anton Nikkilä with a track called "The Spectre of Muzak", Critikal, Violet, Zenial, Andres Lõo, and others) sold together with the issue 9-10 of the Lithuanian art magazine CAC Interviu.

We have started a new regular series of download-only releases. The first downloads are "Live at Belly" by Alexei Borisov & Anton Nikkilä and "Soundtrack from the film Hermafrodiitit" by Swissair. Both are available now from Diogenes Music, Boomkat, Other Music, Thrill Jockey, eMusic, Amazon (USA) and iTunes, with more to follow.

Two tracks from "Live at Belly" by Alexei Borisov & Anton Nikkilä are also released elsewhere. "Engineer Strepetov's Curve" is featured on the "Wire Tapper 19" compilation CD given away for free with the April issue of The Wire Magazine, while "The Spectre of Muzak" is featured on the "Untypical" compilation CD, which comes with this year's first issue of the Lithuanian arts magazine CAC Interviu in April.

Future releases in our download-only series include new material from 60's living legend Pekka Airaksinen (of The Sperm fame), Helsinki's bright young promises Ponytail and Pasilian savut and archival material from 80's experimentalists Jungle from Leningrad.

Simultaneously with each new download-only release we re-release relevant CD's from our back catalogue. Out now are "Typical Human Beings" from 2004 by Alexei Borisov & Anton Nikkilä and the compilation "Pilottilasit - Samples from Helsinki Underground 1981-1987" originally released in 2000.

There are six new releases in our CD shop. Below is brief information on each of them - you can find out more by following the links.

Alexei Borisov's CD "MP3 Kollekciya", released in December 2007 by Moscow's BRP/RMG label, collects over 5 hours of Borisov's music from 1999 to 2006. Included are his out-of-print CD-R album "På köket" released in 1999 by Moscow's Insofar Vapour Bulk plus more recent live recordings and film music.

23.1.2007

There are two new releases in our web shop. Notchnoi Prospekt's "MP3 Kollekciya", released by the Moscow label Moroz in November 2006, is a CD which collects 8 full-length albums from the group's early heyday (1985-1988) in a high-quality mp3 format. Half of these have been released only in their original cassette format ("Neznakomye lica", "Mikroby lyubvi", "Cveta pozolochennyh let" and "Kurorty Kavkaza"), while "Gumanitarnaya zhizn"/"Humanitarian Life", "Novye fiziki", "Demokratiya i disciplina" and "Kisloty"/"Asides" have been reissued in Russia on separate CD's.

"Xenoglossia 2" (Electroclub, Russia, 2006) by Alexei Borisov and KK. Null is the follow-up to the duo's "Xenoglossia" from 2003. While the first installment was a mail collaboration between Tokyo and Moscow, the new disc has been assembled from live recordings done on Xenoglossia's Russian tour in 2005.
